Hi I'm Alan, I am a fully qualified Government Approved Driving Instructor (ADI) and I am passionate about road safety. I decided to train to become a driving instructor because I wanted a job with real satisfaction and there is nothing better than seeing someone pass their test first time. I was also always being told by friends and work colleagues that I was a calm and relaxed type of person and that I would make a great Driving Instructor. I was fortunate to be trained by LDC in the latest adult coaching and training techniques so you can be assured the training I give will be of the highest standard.
Services
All the courses shown use the unique LD System of driving tuition. Details about each of these services is described below with advice on how to decide which service would best suit you and for the prices or information on how to book one of these courses please visit the prices page. Please note taking a course does not guarantee that you will pass, however, if you successfully complete all the targets in the LDC workbook it is highly probable that you will.Learning to drive, using the LD System, can be spread over several weeks and lessons can be booked individually or in a block at a discount.

I currently provide driving lessons in the following postcode areas: EH17, EH18, EH19, EH20, EH21, EH22, EH23, EH24, EH25 and EH26. Each driving lesson is 60 minutes long.
Let me introduce the unique Learner Driving tuition system (LD System), a system that has been designed for maximum progress and ease of learning. It is a system where each driving lesson is carefully planned and follows a set programme with clearly defined targets, where the instructors use professional training materials and modern training methods to ensure training is both effective and enjoyable.
Endorsements, penalty points and driving bans will no longer be recorded on driving licences, but will instead only be accessible online. For insurance purposes, before your first driving lesson your Instructor is required to check your full licence details to see the vehicles you're allowed to drive, and to check for penalty points and disqualifications. The consequences for not checking the above are very serious and this procedure is in place to protect you, your instructor and the general public.

Great guy and a fantastic teacher. Always shows up with buckets of enthusiasm and good (bad) jokes Built my self confidence and knowledge of driving as well as teaching me skills for the future. Thank you so much Alan for your patience, encouragement and kindness. Highly recommend this guy. Just ignore the bad jokes.

Alan is a fantastic instructor from the first lesson to the last, has great patience even when u make mistakes and people will learning to drive but Alan doesn’t make you feel bad when u make mistakes he will talk with you on what went wrong and how to work on making those mistakes right , also gives u great encouragement each lesson is catered to you as an individual everyone learns differently , he’s also a great laugh makes u feel at ease he also sings and throws in a good joke from time to time, he’s an all round good man , I would highly recommend him to anyone looking for a driving instructor
