Finding the right driving instructor for you can be confusing, so here are some things you should consider before choosing a driving instructor.
As a photo is required for your licence the DVLA can use your passport photo if you have one. If you don't have one, or you want to use a different one, this will need to be sent to the DVLA separately. You can find costs for all licence types here. Before you start the hazard perception part of the test, you'll be shown a short video clip about how it works before being shown a series of video clips on a computer screen. The clips feature everyday road scenes and contain at least one developing hazard - but one of the clips will feature two developing hazards.
Unfortuantely, statistics show that new drivers of any age are more likely to have a collission within the first two years of passing their test than at any other time in their driving career. While this is really just down to a lack of experience insurance premiums merely reflect the increased risk.
Tell me where you'd find the information for the recommended tyre pressures for this car and how tyre pressures should be checked. Manufacturer's guide, use a reliable pressure gauge, check and adjust pressures when tyres are cold, don't forget spare tyre, remember to refit valve caps. Tell me how you make sure your head restraint is correctly adjusted so it provides the best protection in the event of a crash.

I had very little knowledge about driving when I started and he has taught me so much that has made me feel so much more confident about my driving ability. I was taught by Chris Brown and passed first time, even though most of my lessons took place through the various lockdowns. Chris is a brilliant teacher- he is exceptionally patient and takes into account how to individual learns best rather than 'one size fits all'. As a nervous driver it was reassuring to have someone as kind and level headed as him as my instructor. Thanks Chris! :

I passed first time with my instructor, Martin, he was very friendly and provided great techniques to use for all the manoeuvres as well as detailed explanations for all types of the situations you'll come across when driving. He helped boost my confidence and was really encouraging. Would definitely recommend.

Cannot thank David Kerr enough with the help and training I received from him to pass my driving test. After coming from a terrible company that i stuck with for 3 months and gained no progress, I was placed with David from One Way and I couldn't have asked for a better instructor! Would highly recommend using One Way when you are a learner, as I can guarantee you won't find better, and if you can, ask for David, i wouldn't have wanted anyone else! Smashed it with a first time pass, will be forever grateful

I passed my test 1st time today! I'd like to say a massive thank you to Tony who really helped to build my confidence and taught me the skills I needed to pass my test. I didn't have much confidence in myself and really didn't expect to pass, especially not on my first time. I was very nervous and he did a great job throughout my lessons and on my test day at making me feel more confident on the road. He was very calm and patient with me throughout and gave me constant reminders and tips that have really stuck in my head and I will use for the rest of my life.

Passed first time on Thursday thanks to Martin Powell, loved every minute of learning with him as he made me feel at ease the whole journey, he felt more like a friend not a instructor. Martin even managed to keep me laughing the hour before my test when i was extremely nervous. Would strongly recommended 1 way as a company and Martin as an instructor.
