In order to take your Driving Test you must have taken and passed the DSA Theory Test. This is a computerised test and our local Test Centre is in Leeds. The test consists of 50 multiple choice questions covering a range of subjects such as Road procedure and Road and Traffic Signs. You must obtain a mark of 43 in order to pass.
The Practical Driving Test will last for between 35 and 40 minutes during which time a pupil will be accompanied by a DSA Examiner. As your Instructor I am permitted to sit in the back if you want me to. I am merely there as an Observer though and can play no part in the Test. To begin you are tested on your general car based knowledge with a serious of 'show me tell me' questions. These are simple questions designed to show that you have knowledge of some of the cars basic operating functions and systems.

I was so grateful two years ago a gentlemen heard my conversation with my mum about driving lessons and recommended Achieve and said Kev was lovely man and would get me to succeed. I have learned with Kev for 2 years before passing yesterday first time and his time and patience, advice and methods have help me to succeed and complete my dream of driving!
For me the best instructor I know of in 5 towns, cheap prices as well as other prices I saw weren’t suitable for me. And also being a cas fan helped as well! Always willing to go over areas over and over again which I believe helped me pass first time. It took me longer then I first pictured but I wouldn’t change my learning for any other. Thanks again Kev.

I was in a very difficult situation with driving instructor letting me down and up coming driving test, Kevin haf a such a busy schedule and took me on. His teaching methods are amazing so calm and very friendly atmosphere , in a spece of month and a half he teached me a lot and today was the day he helped me passes my test. I would recommend him to anyone, a very good instructor and still cant thank him enough.

Today I passed my driving test on the first try and it is completely down to how fantastic Kev is as a driving instructor! My driving experience with Kev was incredible. As well as being a great instructor, he's also a genuinely nice guy. I found his teaching methods to be engaging and thorough - he has all the utilities that's needed in order to fully understand the different aspects of driving. I found I was taught how to be a good, safe driver, rather than just what I needed to know in order to pass my test.
I would highly recommend Kev to anyone, of any age, wanting to learn to drive. I passed first time with Kev, and contacting him to arrange my first lesson is something I do not regret!

I chose Achieve because my brother passed first time with them.I was expecting it to be harder than it was although I wasn`t expecting to have to be so aware of other drivers and how my driving affected them.Kev`s teaching methods were very good.His instructions were easy to follow and he was very calming if and when things went wrong.I would certainly recommend him due to how well different techniques were taught and explained.

I chose Achieve as I won a few free driving lessons in a competition that Kevin had entered a prize for.I found that there was a lot more information to take on board than I originally thought although I found the manoeuvres easier to learn.Kevins teaching methods were excellent…patient and he taught at a good pace.I would definitely recommend Achieve unless someone wanted more than one lesson a week as they are very busy…probably for the same reasons above.Kevin is an awesome Instructor.
