Working within the Perth district for over 18 years, our commitment is to promote safe and responsible attitudes towards driving and road safety by providing training in a structured manner, highlighting and focusing on defensive driving techniques required for everyday driving. We are members of both the Motor Schools and Driving Instructor Associations.
Learning to drive can be stressful enough without the worry of having to learn in an older vehicle. If the vehicle you're learning in is old, it could potentially cause problems on the day of your test as your vehicle will be inspected before the test for road-worthiness. Even if it does pass this inspection there is always the possibility of the vehicle having a mechanical failure during your test which could result in a failure and you having to take your test again.If you choose to take your lessons with Mike's School of Motoring, the business always looks to replace vehicles every two years as each vehicle obviously spends a lot of time on the road.
If you're beginning to learn to drive then the most common type of driving course to take is hourly tuition, where you have just one or two hourly lessons per week. You take your theory and practical tests at a time when you and your instructor agree you are ready, usually after a few months of lessons.
Everyone has a different reason and will require something different from refresher lessons. The scope of the lessons can be decided jointly by the client and the Instructor, and any aspect of driving can be included. Lessons can be 1, 1+1/2 or 2 hours, however we do recommend that the longer the lesson, the more effective they will be.

Instructor was patient however blamed me for failing my driving test. Made to feel completely worthless as was told after the fail that any other instructor would not have put a student through the test as they knew I wasn't ready. They were however happy to take money from me for 2hrs worth of lessons prior to the test.

My friend recommended this driving school after hearing how I was struggling with a previous instructor. I wish I had chosen Mike from the beginning as I learnt more in 1 lesson than I ever did with the other instructor. Very professional manner and I felt so confident after just a handful of lessons. Apart from being a great teacher Mike is also a great guy whom I now regard as a friend. Thanks Mike.

Highly recommended. I heard so many good things about this driving school and wasn't disappointed. Mike was very professional and overall very nice guy. I previously had other instructors but they were useless and unreliable. Honestly, if you are looking to start lessons Mike will motivate you and make you feel confident.

Mike is an exceptionally patient and calm instructor. He has a great method of teaching and he teaches you everything you need to know in a way that is understandable and safe.
