I passed first time with Gary, I would recommend him highly. I enjoyed my lessons as we always had a laugh and felt very confident on the day of my test. Every lesson I had Gary was helpful and patient with me when making mistakes. He took the time to go over my mistakes, explaining them clearly so I could understand what improvements need to be made. I definitely recommend

Critical: Professionalism Rude, unprofessional argumentative when told that I would need to change to a more qualified driving instructor. Would not recommend.

Unprofessional. Aggressive. Dangerous. Gary suffers from road rage, both as a driver and an instructor. He has no patience whatsoever. He will make you feel like you will never pass your test and drag out lessons for his own financial gain, rather than the goals you set out to pass. His unorthodox, outdated methods will get you nowhere. Unfortunately, he has chosen a career that is not suited for him, and I hope reviews like this one will knock him off his arrogant perch and pursue other areas that do not affect the safety and well-being of people learning to drive.

I'm even using a fake name as I worry that Gary knows where I live. He's not even registered on direct.gov as an instructor who has passed a competency course. If you are looking to learn to drive, there are competent driving schools in Medway. This is not one of them.

I was able to pass my test first time, thanks to the support I was being provided with whilst learning to drive. Gary was always happy to help me with any problems or questions I had regarding driving outside of lessons, too. I would definitely recommend City Way School of Motoring and Gary as an instructor.

Gary is a really warm and friendly instructor, very patient at all times. He is very prompt and timely. His breadth of experience and knowledge is amazing of Medway towns. Thanks Gary for everything 5 Stars!

Being an older learner driver, I was quite nervous learning to drive and struggled with anxiety. Gary was absolutely incredible, he went out of his way to educate himself on how to approach lessons with someone who suffers with anxiety and adjusted each lesson to accommodate my needs. Not only is Gary a very good driving instructor who aims to make you a safe and responsible driver, he is also a very kind, caring and genuine person. I cannot recommend him highly enough.

Great for learning to drive. The lessons are very well structured as they are made to help you whatever your level of competency. I found that the demonstrations provided by the instructor were very useful as they showed me not only how to do something, but why I was doing it. The instructor is very friendly and understanding if you have a problem with any aspect of driving. I would definitely recommend this instructor to others.

Didn't have a great experience with Gary either, I paid in advance and when my daughter came home twice upset and decided to cancel I struggled to get advance payment back and Gary started to throw website terms and conditions back. I also recall Gary arrived late a few times. I'm sure Gary works well for certain types of people but be careful when booking in advance, in my opinion there are better instructors available in local area.

This is honest and constructive feedback and why these reviews are so important. No doubt, We lost time and money with Gary, he did repay my money back for lessons not used in the end but never did he once give anything back when lessons finished early or arrived late.

Gary took me for a cup of tea and spoke to me calmly and helped me get back in my mental state the way I normally drive. I passed first time and couldn't thank Gary enough for helping me. Gary is an amazing driving instructor. He was kind enough to fit me into his already busy schedule. all the other driving schools were fully booked till Feb/March 2017. As a first time driver I was extremely nervous. but Gary calmed me down. He is patient, and passionate about his students getting the best of teaching. Never fails to make you laugh when one is panicking. I cannot fault Gary. A friendly, polite and patient individual.

A very good driving school that gave a very high level of service and expertise that enabled me to pass my driving test. found about this school from family and would highly recommend it to anybody who wants to learn to drive safely and pass their test. the service was very friendly and gary did everything possible to make the learning process as easy and unstressful as possible
