Andy Mackinder Driver Training is a Driving school that offers Driving lessons in the Horncastle area which are high quality and value for money from a calm, relieable and fully qualfied driving instructor. You will learn to pass the driving test but more important you will learn how to become a safe driver for life so you will be prepared for the real world when you are driving on your own after you have passed your test.
Lessons are tailored to suit your individual needs as everyone learns at different rates, this can depend on what previous experience you have had, so if you have driven other types of vechiles on or off the road with 2 or more wheels you may have given yourself a headstart.

You will be learning in a dual controlled new Citroen C2 vtr 1.4 Turbo Diesel which is ideal to learn how to drive in with its dual speed power steering which makes light work of maneuvres for anyone, all the rest of the controls are nice and easy to use and for the summer its air conditioned.
We offer lessons to beginners, part trained, re tests, Disqualified drivers, International driving permit holders how require a full U.K driving license and fully license holders who may want to improve their driving skills and confidence behind the wheel.
After you pass your test we can offer you a Pass Plus course which will improve your basic skills and may reduce your insurance premuims.
We can also offer theory test help with free use of theory test DVD Rom's.

Welcome to Andy Mackinder Driver Training, a Horncastle based, independent driving school providing high quality driving lessons with a fully qualified DVSA Approved Driving Instructor. Andy Mackinder Driver Training offers driving lessons in Horncastle, Woodhall Spa, Tattershall, Coningsby, Bardney, Wragby and all surrounding areas within a 10 mile radius of Horncastle.

Requirements Report

As a photo is required for your licence the DVLA can use your passport photo if you have one. If you don't have one, or you want to use a different one, this will need to be sent to the DVLA separately. You can find costs for all licence types here. Before you start the hazard perception part of the test, you'll be shown a short video clip about how it works before being shown a series of video clips on a computer screen. The clips feature everyday road scenes and contain at least one developing hazard - but one of the clips will feature two developing hazards.

Show & Tell Report

Tell me where you'd find the information for the recommended tyre pressures for this car and how tyre pressures should be checked. Manufacturer's guide, use a reliable pressure gauge, check and adjust pressures when tyres are cold, don't forget spare tyre, remember to refit valve caps. Tell me how you make sure your head restraint is correctly adjusted so it provides the best protection in the event of a crash.

Pass Plus Report

Unfortuantely, statistics show that new drivers of any age are more likely to have a collission within the first two years of passing their test than at any other time in their driving career. While this is really just down to a lack of experience insurance premiums merely reflect the increased risk.

By booking a lesson you agree to giving a minimum of 24 hours notice to cancel without charge, if less than 24 hours is given the full lesson price is chargeable, you will need to make sure you receive a reply from us.
