Snowdonia School of Motoring Having over 20 years experience in teaching pupils from all walks of life, from 17 years to 70 years old, as it's never too late to learn to drive.

Passing all my qualifying examinations to become a Driving Standards Agency Approved Driving Instructor, my experience gleaned over 13 years with one of the largest Driving School organisation in the UK, 'AA driving school' where I was the first franchised driving instructor to start in North Wales.

I then decided to start up my own driving school back in June 2006. Currently a Grade 6 instructor, the highest in the grading system. A large proportion of new work I get is recommendations generated from previous clients.

Tuition Vehicle

Why not Practice the Theory Questions...

The DSA theory test is split into two modules.
First Module - 50 Multiple Choice Questions

From a bank of 1000 questions to test your road safety knowledge in 57 minutes. You must get 43 out of the 50 to pass.

Second Module - 14 Video Clips

Since 14 November 2002 the theory test has included a hazard perception test which comprises a selection of film clips showing real road scenes and potential hazards. To test your hazard perception skills. You will use a mouse to indicate when you spot a potential hazard. The quicker you are, the higher your score. You will need pass both of these before you can take your practical test. If you fail either section, you will need to retake the whole test again.

You will also be sent a short instruction video and some other information about the new theory test. It is strongly recommended that you watch the video and read the information before you sit your test.

Pass Plus
Report
Pass Plus is a scheme organised by the DSA to make new drivers safer. It involves a 6 hour training course with NO EXAM at the end. The course covers such things as . . . Motorway, Night, Busy Town/City and All Weather Driving. Upon successfully completing the course, generous discounts can be obtained from participating Insurers. The discount should be more than cover the cost of the course. As a new driver, you are more likely to have an accident in the first year after passing your test than at any other time in your motoring career. Per mile of driving, the risk of an accident involving injury or death is about seven times greater for 17-20 years old than for those aged 40 or over. Drivers under 21 are involved in 15% of all accident deaths. New drivers make up just 10% of licence holders, but are involved in 29% of accidents. Pass Plus is a scheme backed by the Government's Driving Standards Agency and insurers to encourage newly qualified drivers to become better drivers. Pass Plus gives extra experience and positive driving skills that would otherwise take a long time to acquire. Pass Plus consists of an additional course of six specially designed training sessions to follow on from a successful practical driving test.

Initially I was a very nervous driver but thanks to Snowdonia I immediately felt relaxed and comfortable. A very professional and friendly service - I couldn't have asked for a better driving instructor. Tuition was at great value, times and pick-ups were pliable and also the fact that the lessons were bilingual made it even more enjoyable! I would definitely recommend Snowdonia to anyone wanting to learn to drive.

I have the best driving instructor, I could ever ask for, i cant wait till thursday comes. So i go driving. He is so nice and makes me feel comfortable, he will explain and go thru everything with me, he's never raised his voice if I do a mistake. When I talk to my friends and tell them about my lessons. They say they wish they had my instructor. So I am glad that I chose Mr Jones (Jonno) :-).

Excellent driving instructor. Had my first lesson on my 17th birthday and I had passed my test 3 & 1/2 months later and I had never driven a car before then. Well worth every penny! Male driving instructor that made me feel very comfortable in the car as a lady driver. I have recommended him to all my friend and family since then. Would highly recommend anyone to use him.
