Using the Learner driving system of courses I can tailor a driving course or lessons for your needs using on the Learner Driving Centres unique system of tuition. These include Intensive Driving Courses, Semi-intensive courses, Under 17 courses and lessons, I even offer a Guaranteed Pass course.

Andrew is a Government approved driving instructor and delivers high quality driving lessons in the Exeter Area. He has lived in and around Exeter throughout his life and has a great local knowledge of the area. Before training to become a driving instructor Andrew was a Postman. Andrew has a young family who encourage him every day by saying have a good driving lesson when he leaves home for work.
To ensure that high standards of Driver Training are maintained, and to provide our clients with reassurance and protection, David Underhill Driver Training and all driving instructors working on behalf of David Underhill Driver Training work to a voluntary Code of Practice. On the first lesson the client and trainer will review David Underhill Driver Training Terms and Conditions of Business, details of lessons and other fees, and contact details for both the driving instructor and David Underhill Driver Training.
For many years the Driving Education as an Industry has dictated how you will learn to drive. Things are changing. Gone are the days where you sit in the drivers seat of your instructors car listening to what you are going to do and how you are going to do it. By spending time planning, practicing and reviewing your own lessons you will soon become a confident and safe driver.
Our intensive driving courses are designed to meet your needs and experience. All courses include one attempt at the DVSA practical driving test (providing you reach the standard required by the end of the course). The 40 hour intensive driving course is designed to take place over two to six weeks.

David really helped with my driving, in particular building up confidence which was severely lacking. His approach worked really well and we focused a lot on details that ultimately helped me to pass my test. He’s really down to eart and a calming guy, and he puts you at ease. Easy to get on with and an all round great instructor. Thank you so much!

From the moment I booked my first lessons until yesterday when I passed, Andrew Underhill my instructor has been amazing, I can’t praise him enough! Organised and very easy to deal with, he was so calm and patient with me from the beginning to the very end! He was very upfront about where I was at and what I needed to improve! His knowledge of the test routes and how the test would play out was immaculate so I felt as prepared as I ever could be!
On top of that he was very easy to get along with which made the driving and learning part really easy! I honestly couldn’t of done it without him! So I’d highly recommend to anyone else thinking about it! Thank you so much for helping me pass my test Andrew!

Being a university student I was worried the breaks in term would affect my confidence and goal of passing my driving test before I graduated.
David was very patient and flexible with all my other university commitments and reassured me the time away wouldn't affect my progress too much. Which was entirely true! I had a great time learning with David and can't thank him enough for having the patience and flexibility to help me pass while at uni!

I have had a negative mental block about driving since I failed on my first attempt when I was in college... I have never been interested in it, or wanted to drive, but I realised it’s something that just has to be done in order to get anywhere in life - literally. Dave was very patient and helped me to overcome my dislike of driving and actually feel confident behind the wheel. If Dave can teach me to pass my test, he can teach anyone!!

I had David as my instructor and he never failed to be patient with me. He was always there to boost my confidence and give me constructive criticism. It hardly felt like I was in the car with an instructor, more like driving with a good friend:) I would definitely him recommend David to anyone who wishes to learn to drive.

I went to Dave Underhill after I didn't have much luck with my first driving school and I knew when i had my first driving lesson with Dave I was going to past with him because he is a kind and relaxed guy and I couldn't of choosen a better instructor to of been with I really highly recommend David Underhill and he is really easy to get along with also has a smile on his face and I always had one on me when I was doing my lesson because he is brillant to learn with can't thank him enough.
