To drive on the UK roads with no supervision, you must first apply for a provisional driving licence then pass both a theory and practical driving test to allow you to become a full driving licence holder. Of course, there is far more to learning to drive then simply passing tests.

Driving lessons can be one, one and a half or two hours in duration, and paid for in advance. Many people opt to have one lesson a week, but depending on availability, this can be increased to speed up progress. For those who need to pass quickly or are lacking in time to take weekly lessons, a semi-intensive course of three weeks may be appropriate.
