HGV Training & LGV Training

Category C LGV / HGV Class 2(All Rigid Vehicles)
Category C licence will enable you to drive any rigid vehicles with a small trailer. You would be expected to earn up to 25k a year. From start to finish services check out our competitive prices.

Category C+E LGV / HGV Class 1 (Articulated Vehicles)
In one course you can complete your Category C and C+E training, your earning potential is up to 30k a year. You can train over 5 days if you already have a C license. From start to finish services, check out our competitive packages prices.

Cat C1 – 7.5 Tonne Lorry Report

With a Category C1 (7.5t) License you will be eligible to drive an LGV of between 3,500kg and 7,500kg. You can also add a trailer of no more than 750kg. This vehicle is commonly known as a 7.5 ton or C1 7.5t. The training time varies from 3 to 5 days, depending on your previous experience. The C1 (7.5 tonne) category of license is also ideal for horse owners who need to transport more horses that can be towed behind a car size vehicle to events. Big On Driver Training are proud to be the preferred training provided for both the North West Ambulance Service and the Staffordshire university.

Done my Category C training with Big On training in stoke, all the training was spot on with the instructors professional and a breeze to train with, they helped me with all aspects of my driving that I could improve and I passed my test first time. Definitely recommend!

Only given 1 star because I can't give a minus score. This company messed me about making me wait 4 months for my Class 1 course then cancelled it day before I was due to start it. If this was due to illness or problems I could understand but it was blatant lies I was given with no new dates, went to MTS Training in Willenhall instead a very professional company with great trainers and a pass 1st time. Believe what you want but unlike the company I'm telling the truth.

Amazing company passed all my tests first time after my bad experience with SIDS TRAINING who I paid 1700 to and my instructor STEVEN HUGHES fell asleep most days on lesson if you want to pass your hgv and want to be trained properly first time go with this company BIG ON DRIVER TRAINING fantastic instructor Stuart who trained me to a high standered can not fault my experience should of gone with these guys in the first place instead of wasting money

Spent my 4 days training with Stuart. Stuart is a very experienced, knowledgeable and friendly instructor who can relax your nerves of starting to drive a larger vehicle. Big On Driver Training is an amazing bunch of people doing their best for you to pass the tests. They go above and beyond to ensure you're a safe asset to any haulage driving division. They provide quality trucks and highest level driving tutorial. They took care of everything for me I didn't had to worry about any aspect of my course. All I had to do is turn up.
