Mark Tuttle : Driving Tuition I'm a driving instructor. I teach people how to drive manual geared cars. Sure, I'm good at it. Pop over to my website and read my recommendations. No, I'm not cheap. I'm not expensive either, I guess I'm competitively priced. Do you want a cheap driving instructor? Are you really going to go just on price? I'll bet you end up paying more because it takes you longer to learn.

OK, listen, here's what I'll do. Drop me a email or text, I'll call you back because unfortunately we do need a bit of a chat to find out how old you are, if you've got a provisional license and all that stuff, and then, if you book just one lesson with me I'll let you have the first hour absolutely free. That way, if you don't enjoy it, learn stuff and absolutely think I'm not the right instructor for you, then all you've spent is one hour's tuition time. I can't put a figure on that here because, well, I'll just plain forget to update it if I ever put my prices up, sorry. You're just going to have to get in touch.

I'd like to thank all 100+ pupils who passed their test with me and the many others who had some lessons for whatever reason. This was the best job I had in my entire working life and I didn't even start it until my mid-fifties!. I'm leaving the site up for a while as it has some useful resources that people still seem to look at but it will be taken down at some point.
I suspect price of lessons is high on the list but I hope that's not the only thing. If it takes you lots of cheap lessons to pass your test it can cost you more in the long run. Check out my reviews page to find out what my pupils think of me. Not all instructors are reliable, conscientious, flexible and fully qualified.
After a student passes their driving test with me I ask them to write a review of my teaching. Here I have reproduced their testamonials exactly as they wrote them. You will often find these repeated on Yell or my Facebook page. I let these comments speak for themselves. You could be the next person I'll be asking to review, why not get in touch and let's get you driving!
The DVSA have been updating their website to add more information and make it easier to find what you're looking for. This interesting little game produced by motors.co.uk aims to show you why it's seriously a bad idea. On my lessons I often highlight how a pupil's driving has suffered simply because we've been talking about something and ask them to consider what would happen if I were replaced by one of their friends, their kids etc.
I suggest you liaise with me before you allow them to drive your car. You don't have the benefit, safety and comfort of my dual controls and believe me when I say it could get pretty scary without them until they reach a certain level of competence in driving. Don't forget to get suitable insurance for the car they will be driving.
