According to the DVSA. Pupils on average needs 45 hours of Driving Lessons and 22 hours of private practice to become Driving Test Standard. But as every pupil is different and this is only a guide to the number of hours you may need. To be honest, everybody is different. The number of Driving Lessons that you may need will depend upon several factors. Including the frequency of Driving Lessons, previous experience, and whether you are able to supplement professional tuition with private practice.The truth is everybody is different so don’t worry. What I personally think is it’s down to you the individual and the way you learn. All that stands in your way to passing your Driving Test in Guildford can be overcome with a little time and patience. Whereas I don’t make any guarantees or any promises you will pass 1st time. I would have to say that Darren is an excellent driving instructor. Since day one when I was quite nervous about driving, he was very patient and explained things in a logical step by step manner, helping me to control my Nerves. His teaching techniques are fenomanal. There was never a time where I felt uncomfortable and couldn't ask a question. I couldn't reccommend Darren enough!

I started learning with Darren just over a month ago after giving up a few years ago with a different instructor. I just want to thank Darren for everything! He put up with my low confidence and negativity. He also taught me things I hadn't learnt before which really helped me. He was so considerate of lesson days and times to help suit me. Really great instructor all the way through. Made everything simple and easy to understand, which made the learning experience fast and fun. Was supportive all the way through and gave constructive feedback as to how to improve and what to work on. Every lesson felt as if I was progressing and growing more confident in my abilities and handling of the car.

I would highly recommend Darren. The informal and supportive way he teaches immediately put me at ease, and eliminated any worries I had about learning to drive. I went into my test feeling confident and passed first time thanks to Darren. He has made me a safe and confident driver, I honestly cannot recommend him enough!

Passed my driving test first time with Guildford Driving Instructor I was really nervous about learning to drive but Darren was a really great instructor with a calm way of teaching, preparing you for driving after the test, not just teaching you to pass. I really enjoyed learning to drive after dreading the idea for years. Through the whole process nothing felt rushed, but equally it wasn't dragged out unnecessarily. I'd highly recommend to anyone, particularly if you're nervous about learning.

Darren is a great instructor. He is incredibly helpful, kind and understanding as well as being flexible with lessons. He knows exactly what you need to do to pass and made me feel confident in every area of driving so that I was fully prepared for my test. He also knew what I could improve on and tailored the lessons accordingly and gave me good advice for practising outside of lessons. I found it really easy to get along with Darren and would certainly recommend him to anyone thinking about starting lessons.

Darren is a quality driving instructor that really went the extra mile to not only help me pass my test but make me a safer driver. All the extra sheets and emails and videos made such a difference when I was preparing for my test and he clarified all my concerns and answered all my questions. He was very calm and patient and I felt 110% prepared for my test and was delighted to pass first time. I would recommend him to anyone learning to drive.
