2. Have held it for a total of at least four out of the past six years prior to entering the Register after qualifying. Not have been disqualified from driving at any time in the four years prior to being entered in the Register. In addition you should be aware that you cannot accompany a person to drive unless you have held a full licence for three years or more and be at least 21 years old. You must take and pass all 3 examinations in this order and must complete all 3 exams within 2 years of passing the theory test.
The theory test calls for a high standard of knowledge. It is a test of 100 multiple choice questions although some questions may require more than one answer. Following the questions a selection of video clips will be shown, revealing developing hazards. The sooner the trainee responds to the hazard, the higher the score.
The answer to this question will mainly depend upon when you are available to train. Most people undergo training whilst in their present employment which leaves limited time for study. If you were freely available for training then the examination waiting list would be the governing factor. The approximate waiting times are between 3 and 6 weeks for each part.
Training establishments wishing to be included in the ORDIT register have to undergo a rigerous inspection of their training courses, location, records and tutors by a Supervising Examiner from the driving standards agency. The report is then submitted to a management committee for final approval. In order to remain on the register, the establishments must be inspected every 2 years to ensure the standards are maintained. A code of practise must be adhered to and this will be displayed by those on the register.
Over the many years that we have been involved in training driving instructors we have received many compliments. Without Shaun's top quality training, I am sure that I would not have passed that last attempt at Part 3. I am grateful to Shaun and Northern ADI Training for everything that they have done for me. The training as been worth every penny and I look forward to seeing Shaun again when my check test is due.
