Revised to add details per company request: I initially gave 5 stars at the time as I was offered discount to give a review whilst having lessons. In retrospect, I found my instructor intimidating and did not put me at ease during lessons, and subsequently was put off pursuing more after failing my test, so have now revised my review to 2 stars. I was disappointed with the service I received and would not recommend to others based on my experience.

I picked Ashley Neal based largely on the high numbers of positive Google reviews, which I now know were likely to be somewhat manipulated by the discount offer that caused me to review in the first place. All I can really say is to bear this in mind when choosing your driving instructor. Hope that clarifies my choice of rating.

Passed 1st time due to Simon. I would highly recommend him to anyone who wants to learn how to drive. Despite being a blue nose, he's an excellent instructor who I would like to thank personally for always pushing me to do better. Thanks Simon mate, much appreciated. Up the reds

I took my test today and passed first time! Honestly can't thank Dan enough. He has always been so patient and calming with me as my nerves get the better of me. He always put me in the best frame of mine on each lesson, I'm sure I wouldn't of passed first time without him! Thanks Dan, couldn't of done it without you!

This driving school is the best in the North West. I had Ashley as an instructor. As some who suffers with severe anxiety and hadn't had a driving lesson in 10+ years, starting driving lessons was an absolute nightmare. Within 5 minutes of being in the car I know I'd made the correct choice. Very calm, patient and always wanting you to be the best you, Ashley was a fantastic teacher. I would 100% recommend this driving school to everyone.

Passed first time with Chris. I had previous driving instructors but Chris was by far the best I've had. He's calm when during your lessons so you feel at ease & confident in the car. He give me little tips which helped me massively and allowed me to pass first time. He made all manoeuvre's very simple and easily understandable. Highly recommended

Passed my driving test yesterday on my first attempt after taking lessons with Simon. I hated driving when I started but with Simons help, I stuck at it and the hard work has finally paid off. Would definitely recommend Simon or Ashley Neal to anyone looking to take lessons.

I started taking driving lessons in April 2021 with Chris H and from the first day he made me feel comfortable and also explained everything I need to know in order to drive safely. He also helped me a lot with booking lessons in advance and also last minute changes at times as I work away, so I couldn't always keep my lessons consistent, however when i came back Chris was always there ready to go and pick up where we left.

Always providing me with helpful resources for my theory test and also advice on links to watch on the 'Ashley Neal' youtube channel that will help me with certain situations and also the follow up to my test. I am going to miss my lessons with Chris as we always had a laugh and also made my time learning comfortable and enjoyable. First time and I passed and I couldn't be happier!

Cannot speak highly enough of this driving school and my instructor Eddie. Was so nervous on my very first lesson, but just a few lessons in I had the confidence to buy my own car. Eddie was fantastic with me from start to finish, gave me all the skills and knowledge I needed to pass. More important, gave me the confidence to get through the test and I started to enjoy driving. Thank you so much Eddie!

Had Simon as a driving instructor, nothing to say other than he is so so rude, his approach to teaching is to raise his voice and throw insults when you make a mistake and thinks this is acceptable. If anything Simon knocked my confidence a lot with driving. Thankfully I found a lovely new instructor who brought my confidence right up and confirmed to me that Simon's short tempered approach to learner drivers is unnecessary, unprofessional and generally just nasty.

Not to mention he was late to pretty much every lesson. I cannot speak for the other instructors working for Ashley Neal but just a warning to not waste your money and stay clear of Simon if you are wanting a nice, punctual & patient instructor with basic manners & respect.

Excellent driving lessons and instructor, Eddie is very reliable and goes the extra mile for his students so couldn't recommend him enough. He's always made me feel very comfortable and given me confidence driving from the very first lesson

Passed first time last week. WOW what can I say Dan is the best instructor, patient, understanding, clear and concise. He had a very calming effect on me which absolutely got me the pass first time. I really looked forward to our lessons and I will miss them. Genuine lovely man who is a great teacher and with his guidance he developed my confidence more. Both my children learn with Dan; wouldn't have anyone else.

My sons was originally with Halewood Driving school, he booked his test after confirming with his instructor for 13Sep2021. After he had come back from his holiday he phoned Halewood driving to confirm everything was ok for the test date 13Sep2021. Halewood driving school had said that he hadn't confirmed the driving test (which was incorrect as my son had all the text conversations) with him and that he had changed his car so he would need at least 3 hours driving in the new car. Halewood driving school could not arrange the 3 hours to allow my son to get use to his car or provider he car for his test which I was totally discussed with.

My son had been with Halewood Driving school for over two years, I'm totally disgusting with the company behaviour. I contacted Jay who work for Ashley Neal driving school who my previous son had passed with first time. Jay offered to help provide a couple of lessons to get my som use to the car before having his driving test and for him to pass. Ashley Neal "Jay" has gone above and beyond and I would highly recommend this driving school especially Jay who was fantastic and such a genuine caring person. If you want a company to help you achieve your driving success choose Ashley Neal.

Passed today with my instructor Dan. After receiving negative experiences with other instructors from other driving schools I was so lucky to find Dan. He maintains a supportive, calm and patient manner throughout lessons, and remains professional at all times. Communication through the disruption of covid has been impeccable. I can't thank Dan enough and wouldn't hesitate to recommend him to others. Thank you

I highly recommend Kerry, she's kind, professional and is great at explaining things so that you understand. I had alot of nerves and anxiety about doing driving lessons and being on the road but getting in the car with her put my nerves at ease within minutes. She's great and I like to think I will be a great driver because of her. Thank you Kerry

Just had my first lesson with Jacqui, thoroughly enjoyed it! Such a lovely, kind and understanding person. At the end of the lesson we discussed my progress in detail and what I needed to work on and what I did well. Very impressed and highly recommend! Can't wait for my next lesson!

I have been doing driving lesson with Claire right through the pandemic and she honestly brightened the last year of my life. Not only is she an amazing instructor but she is also an amazing person. Day one of lessons and I felt comfortable straight away and I trusted her 100% when she woohoo guide me with instructions on what to do. I had no confidence in my own ability and now I'm a different person when driving and it's all thanks to Claire.

She went above and beyond. She's patient in her teaching and always explains things thoroughly so you understand. Honestly is the best driving instructor. Going to miss our lessons so much.

Am very happy to say, I passed my driving test on Monday. All thanks to the amazing Martine and Tommy Hughes. I had never had a lesson before so started from scratch. I had no confidence at the start but as the weeks went on my confidants grow and grow all thanks to them. They made me feel at ease and were so supportive. Always taken the time to ensure I understood what I needed todo. I would strongly recommend them to anyone and have done to many people. I can never thank you both enough, your amazing thanks xxx

I had a really brilliant lady instructor from this driving school. The service from the other staff was good too, I had no problems with them.
