Check your own light and indicator bulbs, tyres for 1.6mm tread depth and damage and windscreen are not chipped/cracked in the drivers view and the wipers work correctly, as these are the most common reasons for failure.

Tony is a good instructor, I used to be so scared of roundabouts however he made sure that I know there's nothing to worry about and drive on the roundabout (I'm not afraid of them anymore yay), plus I'm deaf myself, he used hand gestures for where to go next which did help a lot.

Tony is such a charming driving instructor. I passed the test in my first attempt in the midst of the COVID-19 chaos and people struggling to book test slots. Not to mention that Basingstoke is known for its roundabouts as well as for its tough first time passing rate. The amount of patience he has towards learners is exceptional. We had small games associated with our classes and targets to achieve which made learning easier and much effective. Targeted classes working on multiple dimensions of road rules, real world scenarios and effective driving techniques helped me ace my driving test in my first attempt.

I would blindly recommend Tony & Basingstoke Driving School to anyone with any level of driving knowledge. One could just opt for classes and just trust him to get you through the test in your first attempt. And he has a very good sense of humour making our classes very interactive.

Started manual lessons with Tony at the beginning of the year. He was very kind and patient with me as i am coming to driving in my 30's and as a nervous wreck. Tony was great but I moved to automatic lessons as I just couldn't cope with the gears. Tony is great though!
